You know what I want, it's not hard to guess

Yes, it's another one, and it's about music again...:-))
This is just a little review from the last night's show. I had such a blast and it was probably one of the best shows (in my opinion of course)...or maybe because I had such good time with people I was hanging out with, who knows, hehehehe. However, it's not such a good idea to drink and stay up late when you have to get up at 6am next morning to go to work and your brain is the most important component but you're half sleepy, half drunk due to not really sleeping and in slow motion....So when I went to a meeting with my boss I was really lost and didn't have a clue what he was asking me. Yep, I felt like I'm from another planet...:D..He probably wondered why he gave me the job in the first place when I seem out of it...LOL

BUT lets go back to last night...This was the line up:

REVERB (rock set)
4:10 - 4:40 G-Spot Tornado
5:00 - 5:30 Noise Agent
5:45 - 6:15 il Attire
6:30 - 7:10 Tenth Planet
7:30 - 8:10 Scarlet Sins
8:30 - 9:10 LYE
9:30 - 10:10 Brain Toy

HOLY JOE'S (acoustic set)
5:30 - 6:00 Tenth Planet
6:20 - 7:00 LYE
7:20 - 8:00 Brain Toy
8:20 - 9:00 G - Spot Tornado
9:20 - 10:00 Anthony Giambrone (from the FLAT PLANETS)with guest, Peyton Leung

The reason why I came was first because my friend Teddy and his band Tenth Planet were playing....However, the first person who told me about the show was James from Lye band...And so I went to see three bands that I like:
Lye, Tenth Planet and Braintoy.
I have to admit Braintoy's lead singer has a very distinctive and powerful voice which makes him quiet unique...You have to admire that....
However, I don't have to tell you but Lye was the highlight of the night. Way better on stage than from what you can hear on MySpace.
So I met the rest of guys from Tenth Planet, had a chance to chat with Bradley from Exit to Nowhere, met another singer from Noise Agent (if I remember corectly the name of his band because I missed their set). That guy is the funniest person I met in a long time...I laughed so much tears were coming down my face....My friend Kerry (who was nice enough to come with me to the show) had an awesome time too. But hey that's what you get always a good time with me:-)...
You should just see when Lye was playing on the stage lead singer jumped off it and came all the way to us, and we were all standing at the bar, so Lye's singer grabbed my friend's arm and kept singing and then he lightly grabbed my hand, then continued down the bar, and then went back for some drink and back again to the stage while singing all the time....lol....I wasn't even aware he was off the stage because it still sounded like he's on it but when I saw him next to us ....we were all like -when did he ended up here?-....lol

Honestly I enjoyed every single second of that night...Switching form one room to another.....sitting, upstaris, at the Holy Joe's in those nice chairs. I took my shoes off because they were bugging my feet, sitting between my two friends Kerry and Teddy....my head being all dizzy thanx to few beers I had....stage was still empty while Reverb was on fire with the bands who were playing one after another....Yes, I think the main reason was me being around cool people that added more to having such a great evening....I didn't mind that I was actually the only girl hanging out with guys and having a good time....:-)))...I just wish that the rest of my friends (girls) are into music as much as I am but what can one do....
Tonight there's a great show at the Drake Hotel and it's free.....Dearly Beloved and Chris Koster but I'm way too tired and I just need to get some sleep in order to get my energy back. I would for sure go but then no one else seemed interested so I just had to let it go this time. It's ok I have bunch of other shows coming up including people that I know playing so it's gonna be fun...
Right now I'm listening to Lye and their CD called "Companion"....and I love it.....There are some song that remind me of Muse but more like a heavy version.
That's all for now my peeps (lol)....this girl has to get some rest because I have a meeting with some clients tomorrow and let me tell you I'll feel like an outsider most of the times...Cheers everyone!!
Dee

It's always nice to hear that you had fun! Your nights out are always filled with something new, either meeting new people or hearing new songs or getting some cd's. If you look back couple of years ago the scene was different.

Like you, i'm just trying to stay awake but it's really hard. I don't work hard, i sleep at least 8 hours but i still feel sleepy all day. Even now, i'm in a half awake mode. I wish i could go home and sleep but what's the point? There's no peace anywhere...and too many *ucking questions.
So how is your day so far???
PISI cmoka pa-pa :)
